Less than a week after it disabled controversial software that left users of its laptops vulnerable to hacking attacks, Lenovo has confirmed that its website has been hacked.
The world's largest computer manufacturer by unit sales said users going to its Beijing website were being redirected.
Brion Tingler, global corporate communications lead for Lenovo, writes in an email:“Unfortunately, Lenovo has been the victim of a cyber attack. One effect of this attack was to redirect traffic from the Lenovo website. We are also actively investigating other aspects. We are responding and have already restored certain functionality to our public facing website.
