China's factory slowdown has reversed.
HSBC's preliminary purchasing managers' index for June indicated business in the world's workshop is expanding again, after five straight months of contraction.
The "flash" version of the index, which is compiled from answers by factory managers on topics such as the level of new business, rose to a reading of 50.8 in June, from 49.4 in May and beating economists' forecasts that the gauge would continue showing a slowdown.
