Rolls-Royce has won a large contract to provide engines to Air China, bringing the company’s total value of deals in the Asian country over the past fortnight to $3bn.
The British engine maker said on Monday that it had won a $1.8bn order from Air China to provide engines for 20 new aircraft.
Earlier this month Rolls-Royce announced a deal with China Eastern Airlines worth $1.2bn, coinciding with a trip to China by a trade delegation of British politicians and businessmen led by David Cameron, the UK prime minister.
