Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has tested positive for coronavirus, prompting the football club to close its London training centre.
The club said in a statement late on Thursday, London time, those who had recent close contact with Mr Arteta were now self-isolating in line with government health guidelines.
This was expected to include the full first-team squad and coaching staff from the Colney training centre, as well as a smaller number of people from the Hale End Academy, where Arsenal's youth squad trains. The latter facility has also been closed, and both facilities will undergo a deep clean.
