The pharmaceuticals arm of Chinese conglomerate Fosun International has agreed to buy Tridem, an Africa-focused French drug distributor, for up to €63m ($73.1m).
Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical announced the acquisition in a Sunday evening filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
The French company is the third-largest pharma distribution and promotion company in French-speaking Africa, according to the filing, with a sales network covering 21 countries and regions.
