Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine died at the age of 91 from natural causes at home, Playboy Enterprises said in a statement.
The eccentric media entrepreneur published the first issue of Playboy from his kitchen table in December 1953 after borrowing money from family and friends and putting up his furniture as collateral for a loan. The first issue featured Marilyn Monroe as the centrefold.
His son, Cooper Hefner, said:
