US secretary of state Rex Tillerson has called on China and Russia to take “direct actions of their own” against North Korea following Pyongyang’s missile test on Friday that flew over northern Japan.
Mr Tillerson called on all countries to take new measures against Kim Jong Un’s regime and singled out China as it supplies North Korea with “most of its oil” and Russia as the “largest employer of North Korean forced labour”.
Mr Tillerson said: “China and Russia must indicate their intolerance for these reckless missile launches by taking direct actions of their own.”
