Alibaba
has invested at least $500m in Indian payments start-up PayTM, in a further sign that China’s largest internet company by revenue plans to have a significant presence in India’s rapidly expanding ecommerce sector.
Yesterday’s announcement follows an earlier deal between PayTM and Ant Financial
