President Xi Jinping's visit to the US is already bearing fruit: Beijing's official mouthpiece says China has agreed to purchase 300 Boeing aircraft and also set up an assembly plant.
Xinhua reports the deal was signed by a group of Chinese companies in Seattle — the first stop in Xi's first official visit to the United States, which began Tuesday morning and included a lengthy speech pledging to work with the US on cyber security and trade.
Full details weren't yet available and Boeing hasn't confirmed the deal.
