Rarely has a car provoked and polarised opinion as much as Bentley’s new ‘concept’ sport utility vehicle unveiled this week in Geneva.
‘Rapper’s delight’ and ‘ugly truckling’ were among the more polite sobriquets attached to the Volkswagen-owned UK luxury brand’s EXP 9 F. The hulking SUV comes replete with 23-inch alloy wheels, bulbous headlamps and a gaping front grille.
For Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bentley’s chief executive, the barbed omments are nothing new.
