About 6,000 protesters took to the streets of Moscow yesterday amid accusations that the Kremlin’s ruling party had relied on widespread fraud to secure a parliamentary majority.
Shouting “Russia without Putin” and “For a Russia without games”, the protesters squared off against police in one of the biggest political demonstrations in years.
The protests began in a central square before heading towards the Lubyanka, the security services headquarters.
